According to legend, Grand Duke Gediminas (ca. 1275–1341) was hunting in the sacred forest where the Vilnia River flows into the Neris River. After the hunt, the Grand Duke fell asleep and dreamed of a great Iron Wolf standing atop a hill, howling as loudly and powerfully as a hundred wolves.

In the morning, the Grand Duke asked his pagan priest to interpret the dream.
“What is destined for the ruler and the State of Lithuania is this: the Iron Wolf represents a castle and a city that you will establish on this site. This city will become the capital of the Lithuanian lands and the residence of its rulers, and the glory of their deeds shall echo throughout the world,” the priest told him.

Obeying the will of the gods, Gediminas founded a city named Vilnius — after the stream of the Vilnia River.

  • A durable black ceramic bezel ring enhances the watch’s resilience and scratch resistance.
  • The black textured dial, fitted with metal indexes coated in black Super-Luminova, ensures excellent readability in low-light conditions.
  • At its core beats a Japanese skeleton movement from the TMI group, finished with a ruthenium coating and displayed through the dial’s open design.
  • The screw-down caseback features a green-tinted crystal, offering a dramatic view of the movement.
